Price of item in a shared mailing
Although it is not an absolute rule, shared mailings that sell single items tend to do better when selling lower priced items than more expensive items. Indeed it seems to be quite hard to get a reasonable response rate out of a shared mailing selling an item costing over £50.
This is not true however when items are in an 8 page brochure - with this approach the teacher seems to be uninterested in the source of the advertisement, and will treat it as if it had come through a solo mailing.
