School administrators are asked to handle huge amounts of direct mail every day. They often feel this is not their job, and they can resent the fact that sorting the mail takes so much time. It is therefore essential for mailing houses to consider how they relate to school administrators and how they encourage the administrators to handle the mail.
On the front of most Hamilton House shared mailings is a newsletter to school administrators from the School of Educational Administration (S.E.A.) This newsletter covers a variety of issues pertinent to administrators - from significant legal and employment issues through to innovations and, on occasion, humorous articles.
Because the shared mailings are sent out in polythene packs, and because this newsletter is on the front, we believe that administrators recognise our shared mailing packs and open them first of all, because they like reading the newsletter.
All copies of the newsletter and details of other activities run by the SEA are available on their website but, to give you an immediate taster, a few are recorded here.
The SEA also runs the Certificate in School Administration, the prime qualification for school administrators, and campaigns actively on their behalf for better working conditions and terms of employment.
Hamilton House is very closely linked with the SEA. The SEA's course is administered by Hamilton House, and the SEA itself is sponsored by Hamilton House.
