Starters Shared mailings represent a way of reaching schools, colleges and universities at a price significantly lower than that of conventional "solo" mailing (in which you send out your material on its own). But shared mailing comes at a cost - most shared mailing leaflets get lower response rates than solo mailings. Unfortunately the ratio between shared and solo mailing response rates is not quite as easy to understand as you might hope - which is why this website exists. We explore the ways in which shared mailings can work to your benefit in the Why shared section. In this section we look at the way in which shared mailings are presented to schools and how this can affect your response rate. There are several companies all running shared mailings to schools and each has its own way of doing things - and we believe that the decisions each company has taken has a profound effect on the way the mailings work.
